She was predeceased by: her husband Wesley McLeod; her grandson Evyn R. Hale; her parents, William B. Ruggs and Allena Ruggs; her sons-in-law, Weldon King, Andre Johnson and David Hale, Sr.; and her siblings, James, Frank, Edward, Carl Ruggs, Marie Williams and Georgia Bell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Vivian King, Gloria Hawkins (Timothy), Janice Johnson and Trelles Hale; and her sister Geneva Lynn Ruggs. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
