She was predeceased by: her parents, Grover DeWeese and Julia DeWeese. She is survived by: her daughter Dorothy Elaine Jackson Sanders; her sister Diana Verrick; her grandchildren, Josh Sanders, Kayla Sexton (Jesse) and Nicole Hoke (Andrew); her great grandchildren, Presley, Hunter, Jaydon, Malia, Tristin, Payton, Sawyer and Lauren; her husband Robert Gary Jackson; her son Robert "Jeff" Jackson; and her sisters, Katie and Bea. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Center - Scott Chapel (921 Main St, Jeffersonville, IN 47130). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
