Cecil Hughes Obituary

We bid farewell to Cecil Hughes of Jeffersonville, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 17, 2025 at the age of 84. Cecil touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As we bid Cecil farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Cecil is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thomas and Nannie Cue Roach Hughes; and his son Charles Miller Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Dan Hughes of Crestview, FL, Robert Cecil Hughes and Brenda Sao; and his siblings, Larry Hughes and Brenda Huffaker. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Scott Cemetery.
