He was predeceased by: his mother Thelma Murphy; his brother Lonnie Murphy; and his grandparents, Ed, LuElla Foster, Edward and Bertha Murphy.
He is survived by: his father Edward "Tice" Murphy; his sister Vickie L. Rager (Bill) of Jeffersonville, Indiana.; and his sibling's children, Shawn Rager, Michael Rager (Barbara), Dwayne Murphy, Denice Able and Colleen Edwards.
