He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Rainwater and Evelyn Rainwater; and his stepson Dale Watson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Doris Jean Rainwater; his children, David Rainwater, Jr. (Bobbi), Gary Rainwater, Jimmy Rainwater, Stephanie Wingate (Mike) and Steven Watson (Alysia); and his grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Shelby, Haley, Kelsee, Caitlyn, Ana, Ethan, Caleb and Taylor. He is also survived by his nine great grandchildren.
