She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Backherms Sr. and Mary Alice Backherms (Danner); and her siblings, Teresa Coble, Denis Backherms and Susan Backherms.
She is survived by: her husband Derek Spence; her children, Kyla Spence and Jacob Spence; and her brother Donald Backherms Jr.. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Howard Park Christian Church (450 Norwood Ave, Clarksville, IN 47129). A memorial service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Howard Park Christian Church or Southern Indiana Animal Rescue.
