It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earnest Thomas of Jeffersonville, Indiana, born in Dizney, Kentucky, who passed away on September 3, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Thomas and Georgia Blanton (Presley); his former wife Joyce Ann; and his son Andrew Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Mary Joyce Thomas (Schafer) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his children, Phillip Thomas (Tara) of Lexington, Indiana, Kathy Swann (Jeff) of Jeffersonville and Cindy Thomas-Summitt of Lexington, Indiana; his sister Vedis Crisp (Bill) of Indianapolis, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Olivia, Joseph, Victoria, Jack, Amelia, Mindy, Herbert, Ashley, Phillip, Shane and Courtney. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
