He was predeceased by: his parents, James D. Johnson and Ruby Clinton Johnson; his wife Judith Marie Gill Johnson; and his brothers, Tommy Johnson and James Delon Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Johnson (Leslie Harrington), Donald Johnson (Danita) and Kimberly Taylor (Sean); his grandchildren, Daniel Moody (Melissa), Kaitlyn Johnson, Abigail Johnson (Bryant Conder), Ashley Ervin (Brad) and James Napier; his great grandchildren, Dalton Moody, Callie Moody, Hayden Tyler, Christopher Ervin, Taylor Ervin, Bentlee Napier and Colin Napier; and his pet Baby Bella.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (2515 Veterans Pkwy, Jeffersonville, IN 47130). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery (2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
Ed was also a longtime member of the local Masonic Lodge 340 of Jeffersonville and the Hadi Shrine Temple in Evansville, embracing the values of brotherhood, honor, and charity.
