He was predeceased by: his parents, John Klapel and Marie Klapel; and his siblings, Kenny Klapel and Betty Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Carrollean Klapel; his children, Kara Theusch (Jeff) and Brian Klapel; his stepdaughters, Nikki Allen, Jackie Holland and Melissa Ethington; his grandchildren, Michelle, Andy, Myah, Diondre Cooper, Avery, Zach and Houston; his great grandchildren, Colton, Marissa, Jaxson, Oscar and Mason; and his sister Audrey Ludkey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family requests that contributions in Harold's memory be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
