James Taylor Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Taylor (Jeffersonville, Indiana), who passed away on November 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Taylor to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James P. Taylor, Sr. and Louise Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Taylor (Purser); his children, Jeanne Taylor, JP Taylor (Amanda) and Allison Taylor; his grandchildren, Elliott Taylor and Quinn Harper; his brother Stephen Taylor (Terry); his niece Lauren Condon (Gerald); and his great-nephews, Oliver and Wolf.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (2515 Veterans Pkwy, Jeffersonville, IN 47130). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Jeffersonville High School Marching Band or the WHAS Crusade for Children.
