The memory of Janet Elder of Jeffersonville, Indiana, who passed away on October 31, 2025 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Charles Morton Scott and Frances Walker Scott; and her husband Randolph Elder. She is survived by: her son Randolph Wade Elder; her siblings, Alice Bryant (Jeff), Dr. Charles Matthew Scott II (Linda) and William Wade Walker Scott (Anne); her siblings' children, Melissa Farnsley (Terry), Dr. Sarah Scott Fox (Ryland), Kelly Franklin (Tony), Wendy Crosby (Drew), Scott Richards (Crystal), Charles Matthew Scott III, Read Scott and Charles Mason Scott (Brittany); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Beatrix Franklin, Frances Fox, Miller Scott, Parker Scott, Dylan Richards, Brayden Richards, Dow O'Neal IV, Allie Staples (Jess), Chase Farnsley, Drew Farnsley and Lowen Staples.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Legacy Funeral Center (921 Main St, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
