He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lindle and Dorothy Lindle; his wife Virginia Lindle; his son Johnny Lindle; his brother Jay Lindle; and his granddaughter Kaitlyn Distler.

He is survived by: his children, Beth Morton, Debbie Laney (Jim), Susan Rowe, Karen Lindle (Brian), Steve Lindle (Leslie), Timothy "Tim" Distler (Jennifer) and Anthony "Tony" Distler (Julie). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
