It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lori Yazel (Jeffersonville, Indiana), born in Mount Vernon, Kentucky, who passed away on December 23, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Larry Yazel; and her brothers, Keith, Coleman and Glen Norton. She is survived by: her son Eric Yazel; her sister Dorothy Grimes; her daughter-in-law Vicki Yazel; and her grandchildren, Blaine and Delaney Yazel.

In lieu of flowers, contribuations can be made to the Larry B. Yazel Memorial Scholarship Fund.

“Eric, I am so very sorry to hear of your mom, Lori’s passing. I worked with Lori at Lincoln Park Elementary in Greenfield for 16 years, as the school’s speech language pathologist. Your mom had so much enthusiasm and was an outstanding teacher. Her first graders adored her and she made learning so much fun. She often spoke of you and how proud of you she was. I am thinking of you and your family and sending prayers of comfort and peace.”
