She was predeceased by: her parents, John Berryhill and Anna Mae Berryhill; her husband Brownlow Townsend; her daughter Melinda Townsend; and her sisters, Louise Ross and Pat Black.

She is survived by: her son Dwight Townsend (Chris); her grandchildren, Erin "Huckleberry" Townsend, Wayne Townsend (Amanda), Josh Cunningham (Shawnee) and Nikki White (Tim); and her pet Allie. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
