He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Traver and Zelma Easterday Traver; and his brother Charles D. "Butch" Traver. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Ethelene Chaney Traver; his sister Sharon Wilkerson (Jim); and his grandson Michael Wright. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
