He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Ernest and Sue Brace (Talley); and his brother Richard Brace. He is survived by: his wife Juliann "Juli" Brace; his son Shawn Brace (Sarah); his brothers, Rex Brace (Kathy) and Terry Brace (Barbara); and his grandchildren, Declan and Olivia.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (2515 Veterans Pkwy, Jeffersonville, IN 47130). A memorial service was held on Friday, January 23rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
