It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Joseph Chism of Jeffersonville, Indiana, born in New Albany, Indiana, who passed away on May 25, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Oscar Chism; his siblings, Richard Chism, Betty Baker and Marvin Baker; his stepson Michael Geary; and his close friend Gracie.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Chism (Sarah) and Amanda Elliott (Brian Kahoe); his close friend Cindy Chism; his siblings, Maggie Peak, Robert "Bob" Chism and Dale Chism; and his grandchildren, Kyleigh Van Winkle and Grayson Geary. He is also survived by nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Jeffersonville Animal Shelter (201 Willinger Lane, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
