He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Langley and Viola Briley (Allen); and his sister Shirley Ramsey. He is survived by: his children, T. J. Murphy (Jack) of Memphis, IN and Samantha J. Langley of Jeffersonville, IN; his grandchildren, John Murphy (Susan), Tara Buehner (Tom), Sean Murphy and Glen Giles; his great grandchild Relena Murphy; and his sisters, Dorothy Houp of Nicholasville, KY and Sue Yenowine of La Grange, KY..
