He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Hiles and Ruth Ann Hiles (Smithson); his son Jeremy Baskett; his granddaughter Brianna Ashmore; and his siblings, James Hiles and Teresa Powell (Larry).
He is survived by: his wife Kay Ann Monroe; his sons, Micah Hiles (April) and Joshua Hiles (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Trevor Hiles, Courtney Hiles, Alexis Weimer, Ryan Weimer, Harley Hiles, Allyson Brodkorb (Brody), Averie Hiles, Kayla Baskett and Kirstin Baskett; and his siblings, Jon Hiles (Justine) and Cheryl Bilbee (Stephen).
