It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel E. Skeens of Jonesboro, Indiana, born in Marion, Indiana, who passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Richard and Alice Skeens (Listenfelt); and his brothers, Tim, John and Arthur Skeens.
He is survived by: his wife Vickey Skeens (Larsen); his sons, Edward C. Skeens and Sammy Skeens (Tera); his grandchild Ryan Skeens (Hannah); his sons, Katelynn Alston (Trey) and Kenzie Hardcastle (Brody); his great grandchildren, Kynlee and Taysom Skeens; his siblings, Sue Reeder, Peggy Wamsley (Rob), Sally Thomason (Rick), Lorette Hossain (Jim), Theatta Dobbs (Jim) and Richard E. "Richie" Skeens; his sister-in-law Phyllis Skeens; and his close friends, Elrie Armes and Jim Murphy. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
