He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas David Scott, Sr. and Birdie Mae Scott (Stumbo); his wife Evelyn Mae Hicks; his daughter Margaret Lyons; and his brothers, Billy Lee Scott, Herron Scott, Jerry Wayne Scott, Dwayne Scott and Arthur Dean Scott.
He is survived by : his children, Wanda Armstrong of Avilla, Mary Whitt of Newton and David Lee (Christy Scott); and his siblings, Bobby Scott of Stanley, Ronald Scott of Stanley, Charles Scott of Flint, Michigan., Betty Pack of Manning, Carolyn Brewster of Newhall, Ruby Buckner of Ashville and Connie Hicks of Raliegh. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
