He is survived by: his father Todd Van Gessel of Kendallville; his grandparents, Troy, Cara Franks of Larwill, Kevin and Nancy Van Gessel of Kendallville; his aunts and uncles, Aaron Franks of Columbia City, Todd Franks (Sidney) of Churubusco, Jill McDevitt (Seth) of Columbia City, Amy Van Gessel (Nick Brisson) of Minneapolis, MN, Rachel Van Gessel of Kendallville and Tricia Herr (Landon) of Linden; his cousins, Norman, Oscar, George McDevitt of Columbia City and Gordon Herr of Linden; and his great-grandparents, Delores Franks of Winona Lake, IN and Phyllis Weaver (Dan Dubs) of Hamilton, IN.
