He was predeceased by: his father John Hassig; his wife Karlita Hassig (Bonewitz); and his siblings-in-law, Denny Bonewitz and Joenita Keller. He is survived by: his children, Treva Vasbinder (Bruce), Roger and David Hassig; his grandchildren, Brock, Tyler and Bree; his brother Don Hassig (Lois); and his brother-in-law Lynn Bonewitz (Viki).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
