He was predeceased by: his parents, Landan Charles and Cora Barker (Bolen); and his half-sister Tina Barker. He is survived by: his wife Linda Charles of Kendallville; his children, Tiffanie Hicks (Marc Smith) of Kendallville, Tara (Ryan Rowe), Jarrod (Jennifer Charles) and Jesse (Renee Charles); his siblings, Lois Huff of Kendallville, Sandy Taulbee of Kendallville, Trina Caudill of Waterloo, Timothy Charles of Lincolnton and James Mullins of Lincolnton; and his stepmother Rachel Charles of Lincolnton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hite Funeral Home (403 S Main St, Kendallville, IN 46755). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the South Milford Cemetery (E 800 S, South Milford, IN).
