He was predeceased by : his parents, Frederick Dale and Marcella Berkey (Bradtmueller); and his nephew William Scott Berkey. He is survived by : his wife Nancy Neumann; his children, Michele Martinez (Mark) of Kendallville, Matt Berkey of Kendallville and Mark Berkey (Sara) of Duluth, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Krista Hawks (Frank), Jordon Nartker (Alexia Wallen), Julia Berkey, Nicholas Hacha, Lars Berkey and Brianne Berkey; his great grandchildren, Kruz Gibson and Karsynn Gibson; and his siblings, Denny Berkey (Elaine) of Kendallville, Carol Smith (Mike) of Angola, Carla Gray (Charles) of Kendallville, Sally Brown (Thom) of Racine and Brent Berkey (Janet) of Rome City.
