He is survived by : his wife Kathy Brinker of Kendallville; his children, Tracey Brinker Palmer of Kendallville, Hans (Rachel Brinker) and Heath (Christy Brinker); and his grandchildren, Serek Palmer of Ligonier, Krauss Short of Ligonier, Starr Elaine Bea of Kendallville, Isis Valdez of Goshen, Beth Brinker of Kendallville, Breydon Brinker of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee, Makenna Brinker of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee, Triston Brinker of Mt. Carmel, Tennessee, Samarah Schumm and Johnny Wood.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The military honors was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Crosspointe Family Church (205 Highpointe Crossing, Kendallville, IN 46755).
