Olene Stureman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Olene Stureman of Kimmell, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Olene has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Shaffer and Neva Shaffer (Sherer); and her brother Gregory Shaffer. She is survived by: her husband Philip Stureman; her sister Kay Nelson; and her stepchildren, Dawn Bandy and Tony Stureman (Pam). She is also survived by six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco Chapel (206 N Main St, Churubusco, IN 46723). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:15 PM at the Wolf Lake Cemetery (415 S 450 W, Kimmell, IN 46760).
