Allan Melvin Moody Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Allan Melvin Moody of Kingman, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Moody and Ruth Delilah Moody (Allen); his former wife Betty Jo Whitford Moody (Gilliland); and his brothers, Marlin, Don, Gene, Wayne and Ronald.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Leona Gilliland Moody (Paxton); his daughters, Jean Cook (Tom) of Kingman and Mary Kendall (Jeremy) of Smithfield, Pennsylvania; his sister Sandra Lightle (Don) of Waynetown; his stepchildren, Dennis Whitford (Sally) of Mt. Pleasant and Christi Millikan (Jeff) of West Lebanon; his grandchildren, Jessica Shields (Bryan), Justin Cook (Jenny) and Paxton Kendall; his stepgrandchildren, Nathan Whitford and Ashley Turus (Nick); his great grandchildren, Jax and Jameson Cook; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Leah and Jimmy Turus. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Gooch Funeral Home (112 W Howard St, Rockville, IN 47872). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
