Robert Downs Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Downs (Kingman, Indiana), who passed away on August 16, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Downs and Marjorie Downs (Ziegler); his former wives, Joy Downs (Ellis) and Cheryl Downs (Halliwell); his son Dale Downs; and his siblings, Bill, Jack, Tommy Downs and Bev VanDorn.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Downs (Peyton); his children, Larry Downs (Brenda), Jay Downs (Ginger), Kenny Downs (Tammy), Cindy Thomas and Carolyn Wheeler (Jeremiah); his brother Denny Downs (Brenda); and his siblings-in-law, Dave VanDorn and Jeri Lee Downs. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.
A proud member of the Wallace Masonic Lodge #0495, Bob dedicated an impressive 59 years to the Masonic fraternity, embodying the values of brotherhood, charity, and integrity.
