He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurel "Gene" Highland and Mary Shaw Highland; and his brother Dennis Ray Highland. He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle Darnell (Steve) of Burnettsville and Bobbie Jo Pendygraft (Jerry) of Kirklin; his grandchildren, Storm, Ashley, Kamryn, Elaina and Brakken; and his siblings, Samuel L. Highland of Crawfordsville, Joseph M. Highland (Cindy) of Rockville, Laura J. Maile and Debra Kasper (Donald) of Aiken. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
