Butler (Egan); his daughter Raeann Johnson; his granddaughter Crysten Butler Williams; his great grandchild Jett; his close friend Carol Duncan; and his siblings, Letha Redmon, Naomi Jackson, Sheila Rawlins, Charlene Jensen, Arnold, Richard, Leon, John, Carl and Ray Butler.

He is survived by: his children, Jeff Butler (Cyndy) of New Castle, Lisa Hall (Ric) of Knightstown, Carrie Stemler of New Castle and Heidi Carmichael (Gabe) of Knightstown; his son-in-law Tim Johnson of Knightstown; his grandchildren, Carly Foreman (Craig), Jace Butler, Trista Pruett (Jordan), Taylor Cox, Shelby Van Hoy (Jordan), Cale Johnson (Kim), Logan Johnson (Kaylee), Danielle Schlechtweg (Eric), Haley Waldschmidt (Chris), Eli Johnson, Brittany Milo (Josh), Keaton Stemler (Fania), Patrick Henry (Carly), Nicholas Henry (Hannah), Sarah Stemler, Emma Nichols (Bruce), Mason Carmichael and Landon Carmichael; and his brother Harold Butler (Janet) of Knightstown. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
