He was predeceased by: his son Shaun Carrigan; his wife Pat; his parents, Merrill L Carrigan and Margaret Carrigan; and his siblings, Warren Carrigan and Carolyn Wells.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Szentes (Mark), Sarah Carrigan (Alex Bailey), Susan Morrill (Allen) and Alison Hill (Greg).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made directly to the McCarter Cemetery.
