Stephen Scott Brooks Obituary
We announce the death of Stephen Scott Brooks of Knightstown, Indiana, who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 76. Stephen will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos "Jake" Brooks and Betty Brooks (Moore); and his siblings-in-law, Deb Brooks and Dick Leakey. He is survived by: his wife Lois Brooks; his children, Amy Ripley (Brian), Ben Brooks (Megan) and Jenny Barley (Josh); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sarah, Luke, Hannah, Catherine and Clare Ripley; his children, Camden, Tyson, Emma, Nolan, Charlotte Brooks, Juliet and Joanna Barley; and his siblings, Jane Leakey, Duane "Butch" Brooks and Jim "JB" Brooks (Cindi). He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service (7355 IN-109, Knightstown, IN 46148). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
