He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Begley and Myrtle Begley (Fields); and his siblings, Dan, Benton Begley, Margie Delli and Christine Lehman.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Begley; his children, Paul Begley (Heidi) of Lady Lake, David Begley (Jane) of Knox, Sherri Kocher (John) of Winamac, Shelby Pych (Ron) of Wanatah and Martha "Marcie" Stidams (Jake) of Fort Myers, Florida; his grandchildren, Brock Begley (Leeann), Bart Begley (Emily), Paul Begley (Sarah), David Begley (Amelia), Renae Fox (Tyler), Amy Hershman (Joshua), Dustin Riggle (Ryan), Kelsey Allen (Jay), Alexandria Bierrum (Nathan) and Stephen Chaffins II (Courtney); and his siblings, Russell Begley of North Judson and Jean Allen of Knox. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Gospel Baptist Church.
