He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Okeley and Irene Okeley. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Annette Wojcik (David) of Plymouth, Donald L. Okeley (Heather) of Knox, Deann Okeley of Knox and Shane Okeley of Hamlet; and his siblings, Charles Okeley (Orpha) of Bluffton, IN, Lila Rudd (Calvin) of Valparaiso, Alice Miller of Knox and Joyce Bailey of Knox. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.

“Oh, Cathy, my heart breaks for you & the whole family 💔. I've loved Donnie since we were kids & I was proud to call him my friend & you also ! He was never to busy to stop & say hello & ask how I was doing ! Remember when you 2 would come up & stay all night with me & Charlie ? We would stay up all night playing Monopoly & I never could win. It was no wonder I didn't like that game. Those were good old days & I do mean old. I love you Cathy !!!”
