With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James E. Demis Sr. of Knox, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Demis and Edna Hyndman Demis; and his former wife Vivian Kay Demis. He is survived by: his sons, James Demis Jr. (Barbara) of Hamlet and Robert Demis of Plymouth; and his sisters, Shirley Hall of Texas and Linda Newcomb of Hobart, IN. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
