He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Byer and Lavina Byer (Coonfare); his son Brian Byer; and his sister Gloria Allen. He is survived by: his close friend Kay Schuette of Knox; and his children, Michael Byer (Tommie) of Knox, Cammi Martinez of Plymouth, Brett Byer (Lisa) of Knox and Tawnya Kasten (Lonnie Boley) of Grovertown. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
