He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalmer Howard and Stella Howard (Pitts); and his siblings, Ellis, Bill, Lonnie, Harlas Howard, Roberta Burger and Loretta Awald.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Howard (King) of Knox; his children, Chalmer Howard (Elaine) of Olive Branch, Richard Howard (Jennifer) of Knox and Patricia Gale (Gary) of Knox; and his sister Deborah Sunblade (Eddie) of Valparaiso, Indiana.. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren 6 great- grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Free United Baptist Church (2875 S State Rd 39, North Judson, IN 46366). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
