She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hutchison and Susan Hutchison (Kamp); her husband Gates E. Hunt Jr.; her brother William Hutchison Jr.; her daughter Andrea Lott; and her nephew David Hutchison.

She is survived by: her children, Susan Shearer, Robert Hunt and James Hunt; her grandchildren, Clayton Shearer (Sarah), Susan Lott Stancil (Martin), Stephanie Lott Garner (Joshua) and Nathan Hunt; her son-in-law Stephen Lott; her great grandchildren, Mary Stancil, Sarah Stancil, Anna Stancil, Georgia Shearer, Ezra Shearer and Jeremiah Garner; her niece Sandy Hutchison (Ted Bragdon); and her nephew Charlie Hutchison (Teresa).
