She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Roscoe and Evelyn Jennesse Martin (Shaffer); her son Benjamin Alexander Jr.; and her siblings, Charles Kenneth, Phyllis, Barb, Donna and Sherlene.

She is survived by: her children, Diana Heath (Earl) of Kokomo and David Alexander (Terri) of Muncie, Indiana.; and her grandchildren, Brittany (Lori), Kayla (Christopher), T. J. (Serria), Shyla, Daven, Shayla, Faith, Micah and Jordan. She is also survived by many great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
