It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Lee Pennington of Kokomo, Indiana, who passed away on July 29, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd C. Pennington and Frieda M. Pennington (Meeks); his half-brother Ronald Bennett; his parents-in-law, Truman and Helen Slabaugh; and his sisters-in-law, Winifred Miller, Evelyn Miller and Martha Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie "Marge" Pennington; his daughters, Elizabeth "Liz" Sanders (Monty) and Kathleen Pennington; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Riley (Cole) and Kyle Sanders (Faith); his sister Patricia Fischvogt (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Danny Miller, Dick Slabaugh (Karen) and Judy Tumbleson. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Main Street United Methodist Church (830 S Main St, Kokomo, IN 46901). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunset Garden Memory Cemetery (2097 W Alto Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902).
Memorials may be made in Chuck's memory to Main Street United Methodist Church or to Samaritan Caregivers.
