He was predeceased by: his wife Helen L. Brown (Seitz); his parents, Charles A. Brown and Hallie Marie Brown; his brother Richard Brown; his siblings-in-law, Trudy Brown, Robert Osborn, Dorothy Osborn and Robert Clapp; his brother Jim Brown; his sister-in-law Becky Brown; his brother Don Brown; and his siblings-in-law, Eugene Seitz and Jean Seitz.
He is survived by: his son Dr. Gregory Brown; his daughter-in-law Dr. Sandy Brown; his daughter Jill; his son-in-law Bob Cooke; his sister Donna Clapp; his grandchildren, Emily Varin (Matt), Zack Cooke (Nicolette), Jason Brown and Anne Houff (Stefan); and his great grandchildren, Isabel Cooke, Kaija Houff, Max Cooke and Boden Houff.
