He was predeceased by: his parents, Connie M Powers and Clyde W. Smith Jr.; his sisters, Tammy Cook, Dorothy Smith and Linda Anger; and his brother-in-law Timothy "Pa" Lovegrove.

He is survived by: his significant other Pamela Smith (Keller); his sister Angie Lovegrove; his sons, Wesley Smith (Jessyca) of Kokomo, Chase Smith (Amber) of Kokomo and Ty Smith (Ty's) of Kokomo; his grandchildren, Violet, Ellie and Mia; his uncle Ralph Smith (Pamela) of Annapolis; Mackenzie Huntsman. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews.
