He was predeceased by: his parents, Blaine Gibson and Amelia Gibson (Mueller); and his daughter-in-law Lora Gibson. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Morrison; his children, Pamela Hawkins (Seamus), Jeffrey Gibson (Kelly), Joe Gibson (Maggie) and James Gibson; and his grandchildren, Shayla Caddell (Jon), Brendan Hawkins, Jordyn Gibson, Amber Gibson, Adam Gibson, Daniel Gibson (Alexcia), Levi Gibson, Jonah Gibson, Kristyn Bitner, Morgan Knox, Molly Bitner, Chad Ort (Brenna), Eric Johnston (Desiree), Kelly Elliott (Dan) and Brett Johnston (Amber). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dan's memory to the Salvation Army or the Lora Sottong Gibson Memorial Nursing Scholarship in care of the Tipton County Foundation.
