He was predeceased by: his parents, Darvel E. Harner and Shirley Harner (Smith); his children, Jake Harner and Sara Harner; and his brother Charlie Harner.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle Sumner; his children, Edward Moody (Deanna), Jason Harner (Megan) and Brooke-Allison Hines; his grandchildren, Coltin Hines, Jacob Harner, Braylon Hines, Gabriella Mraz, Samantha Harner, Darien Moody, Dylan Moody, Danica Moody, Clayton Moody and Destiny Marn; and his siblings, Debbi Rayles (Tom), Janet Wooten (Tim) and Allen Harner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
