He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel E. Smith and Juanita M. Smith (Harper); and his brother-in-law David Smith. He is survived by: his wife Susan J. Webb; his children, Kristin Cannon (Colt) and Matthew Smith (Amy); his grandchildren, Ivy Smith, Madison Fields, Parker Fields, Hadley Cannon and Brantley Cannon; his sister Diana Smith; and his sibling's children, Dana Smith and Kevin Smith.
