David Kitchell of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on October 18, 2026. David, born on January 3, 1948, shared life alongside family, friends, and others. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kitchell and Winifred Kitchell (Moser); and his siblings, William Kitchell and Carolyn Kitchell McClure. He is survived by: his wife Linda Whittaker Kitchell; his son Ryan Kitchell (Molly); his grandchildren, Quentin, Max, Sam and Lucy of Zionsville; his daughter Ashley Kitchell Dascoli (Joe); his grandchildren, Katy, Charlotte and Norah of Carmel; and his brother Richard Kitchell (LouAnn).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory (1315 W Lincoln Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kokomo Humane Society or to the Community Foundation of Howard County for the Dave Kitchell Scholarship Fund which supports Kokomo High School graduates pursuing journalism.
