He is survived by: his children, Deanna Hawes and Ben Hawes (Ginger); his grandchildren, Ressa Jewell, Brandon Swank, Isaiah Slaughter and Reagan Hawes; his great grandchildren, Leon Jewell, Aiden Jewell, Lillian Jewell and Dennis McLay; his siblings, David Hawes (Ronda), Danny Hawes (Anne) and Becky Smith; and his brother-in-law Marty Branch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
