With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ethel Mae Ailor of Kokomo, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ethel left this world on October 5, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ethel leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Thompson and Wanita Thompson (Ellis); her husband James Ailor; and her daughters, Sally Earlywine, Kelly Carpenter and Amy Reed.

She is survived by: her son James Ailor; and her sister Anita Baker (Bob). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory (1315 W Lincoln Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902).
