She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Vickers and Martha Vickers (Messer); her daughters, Diane Smith and Pam Shine; and her siblings, Mollie Kelley (Kenneth), Harmie Vickers, Drucilla McQueen, Homer Vickers (Janice) and Herman Vickers.

She is survived by: her spouse O. D. Shelley; her daughters, Penny Meadows (Tim) and Linda Sprinkles (Rodney); her son-in-law Roger Shine; her grandchildren, Justin Smith (Donna), Modesta Smith, James Shine, David Shine (Mahasin), Noah Shine, Ethan Shine, Brittany Schmeltzer (Matt), Katelyn Rathbun (David), Jodi Colwell (Logan) and Jessica Sprinkles; and her great grandchildren, Troy Smith, Olivia Smith, Owen Smith, Oriana Smith, Aidan Shine, Raven Shine, Elijah Rathbun, Riley Rathbun and Lainey Mae Colwell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to flowers, contributions may be made in Geneva's memory to First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
